About
Mello Marque' (M. De Mello) was born in 1969 on the Island of Bermuda to Portuguese immigrant parents. Growing up he loved the ocean and the miracles of
nature on the Island. In 1988 at the age of nineteen,
De Mello went through a spiritual transformation finding
Rastafari. These have become the inspiration for his songs. Moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1990 De Mello
pursued professional music training and met mentor, the late Iya (Eric Heim) and since 1995 has been fine tuning
a style that blends Roots Reggae, with R&B and Hip Hop.
Currently De Mello lives in the Midwest and is working on
new material.
